Now that the big show is over the Paralympians have all rolled into Vancouver. I've been watching what I can find on TV, seems that CTV and TSN have decided that coverage should be disabled as well. Now that all the big guys in TV have headed out of town they bring in the Rogers and Shaw cable students to do the great camera work. The voice over on the highlight curling package sounds like the announcer wasn't even at the event, probably being done from the studios at Rogers in Toronto, read from a script, and without any emotion, they have managed to make curling even more boring. Every now and then some guys with bagpipes wander across the screen, for no apparent reason.
The alpine event for visually impared skiers was cancelled due to poor visability, that just didn't sound right. TV did show us fog for 10 minutes, spectacular.
The problem is, these athletes train just as hard and have overcome many challenges in life, they deserve the same respect, not a disabled version.
