The Holiday Inn part deux

Well after another attempt at connecting to the internet a call to the front desk and a new room with a somewhat better connection..........at least this time it allows me to half my job........responding to e-mails and adding another message to a blog that no one reads.........the mind is a terrible thing to waste.

The ever so helpful Holiday Inn

Before I lose the swell connection again............I'm staying at the Holiday Inn on Sherbrooke street in Montrreal, not my choice of hotels but seems that my client has signed a new deal with them, I guess what they forgot to ask was......"does the internet work?" according to the helpful....yet well placed and obviously in a job that is above his education grade explained to me..."it works fine" I carefully and at this point with great patience explanied that my dial up is faster and your "fine" internet is the shits. At this point another well meaning and yet totally useless front desk boy told me that he would re-set the modem and if I had any further problems to call "handing me a piece of paper with a 1-800-fuc-koff" number. While I type this I have 2 other pages trying their best to load........not going to happen....... as Raoul the desk boy so wonderfully reset the modem to stun and fixed nothing...........just out curiosity.........as I wait for the pages that I really need to use for work snail along to load.........I find that porn loads without a problem...........I had a little laugh thinking how nothing else works but something that'll get you a boner works without fail............So I think when Holiday Inn came up with the "I'm smarter because I stayed at a Holiday Inn express" they were just wanting to watch some porn.............and as I sign off I see that my movie is ready.........Triple D tits and the midget......I can hardly wait...........

2010 Paralympics

Now that the big show is over the Paralympians have all rolled into Vancouver. I've been watching what I can find on TV, seems that CTV and TSN have decided that coverage should be disabled as well. Now that all the big guys in TV have headed out of town they bring in the Rogers and Shaw cable students to do the great camera work. The voice over on the highlight curling package sounds like the announcer wasn't even at the event, probably being done from the studios at Rogers in Toronto, read from a script, and without any emotion, they have managed to make curling even more boring. Every now and then some guys with bagpipes wander across the screen, for no apparent reason.

The alpine event for visually impared skiers was cancelled due to poor visability, that just didn't sound right. TV did show us fog for 10 minutes, spectacular.

The problem is, these athletes train just as hard and have overcome many challenges in life, they deserve the same respect, not a disabled version.
