Ok first of all, they aren't pirates, they are just a bunch of thugs. I bet that none of them has a parrot, peg leg or goes oooorrrr when they talk. So how does the rest of the world deal with these guys, well the Americans had it right, 3 thugs, 3 slugs........end of story.
I am not a fan of the current "catch & release" program. Most Naval forces will disarm the pirates and send them on their way. Odd the vessels are stolen, but those boats aren't siezed, so the pirates are free to attack again.
ReplyDeleteBoo Hoo, the US Navy snipers took care of business. My favourite was INS (Indian Navy Ship) Tabar, a 405' Frigate fired on and sank a pirate mothership, after the pirates fired RPGs at the Warship. Hmmmm, rocket propelled grenades versus a 60rounds per minute 100mm deck gun.
